Hi… My name is Tekky… No that is not my real name… No you may not have my real name.
I am somewhat of a newcomer to anime, I didn’t get addicted to it until December of 07. However since then, my hardcore otaku friends have admitted that I’m more otaku then them (I can’t decide if I’m happy or upset).
This site opened in Summer of 08 as “Tekky99’s anime blog”, with the intention of it being primarily about Episode Reviews and NEWS updates. After 6 months or so, I decided to make the shift to group blogging and “Psychedelic SoulJam” was born. (The blog name is from a song on the Soul Eater first soundtrack, fans of the show should recognize the track if they hear it)
Favorite animes include ef – a tale of memories, Eureka Seven, Baccano!, Last Exile, and Higurashi Kai, all of which I might start fanboying about. I’m a bit more picky w/ mangas, but my favorites include Mirai Nikki, Moe Kare, Shugo Chara!, Mahoraba, and Shinshi Doumei Cross. I don’t really talk about mangas though, but that won’t stop me from making the occasional post.
As for my life outside anime, I am an electrical engineering major at UCLA (University of California; Los Angeles). I frequently get bogged down by work, but I still like my major. I am one of the few people that actually enjoys physics. If I learn Japanese, I might attempt to live in Japan for a little while (considering they have a nice tech industry)… that is a BIG if. I also have an interest in screenwriting and music production.
hajimemashite and yoroshiku onegaishimasu!
BANNER CREDITS: Thank you SOOO much, Ali G and Mel-chan, for that amazing banner that I could only dream of making.

Hey! I’m Shiki, derived from my main handle/username Shirikaisin and I’ll be mainly posting about manga on this blog and occasionally anime if a series interests me enough to devote time to reviewing each episode. Most posts will be due to my need to procrastinate and avoid schoolwork because I believe in relaxing every now and then, especially now.
Unlike my friend Tekky, I’ve been into anime for about a decade although my preference has been shifting towards manga.I started out on shounen anime such as Dragon Ball and the Gundam series but my range is broad which extends from yaoi to yuri, shounen to shoujo, seinen to jousei, etc.One thing that I generally refuse to read are stories that only revolve around shoujo romances. Currently, I have been reading from psychological, historical, and ecchi genres such as After School Nightmare, Anatolia Story/Red River, and Ikki Tousen. I also admit without shame that the majority of my music in harddrives and mp3 player are anime and game osts and image songs.
Outside of anime, I am a materials science major at UCLA and spend my free time gaming on mmo’s such as Ragnarok Online and Guild Wars and rpg console games. Friends have often compared me to Konata though I have absolutely no idea why 😄
Hello hello! My screen name is NamorSol—but I also go by the names Namor or eNamorD. To begin, I would like to take this time to thank Tekky for hiring me….but unfortunately, he’s not paying me to do any of this….rather, he dragged me into this completely voluntary position. Ah well, I suppose I’ll still thank you for the opportunity. Doing an anime blog sounds like an exciting new experience.
Now that I’m here, I’ll simply say that it’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance, glad you could make it, and I hope we’ll have lots and lots of grins and giggles (and much much more!) in the posts to come. Though I may undervalue my own opinion, (and though you may undervalue my opinion as well), I will humbly offer this undervalued opinion to you through the form of a blog.
So about myself: As a self-declared jack-of-all-trades, my strengths lie in variety. Not only do I like a variety of anime genres, but I have a variety of non-anime interests as well. For me, anime is simply one of many hobbies, which I pick up and drop repeatedly, due to my short attention span. So of course, this love for variety also leads to a weakness: I suck at everything I do! …Eh, well, I don’t really suck that much, but I certainly could be a lot better if I actually dedicated myself to something rather than abandoning it within two weeks. In any case, right here and right now, I will make a promise to all you (3 or 4?) readers. I, NamorSol, Namor, or eNamorD (whichever you prefer), promise that I will update on a regular basis…Or I’ll try to update on a regular basis…Or I’ll try to remember to update, then brush it off as something I should do later. It’s the least you deserve.
Anyway! My favorite anime series tend to be slightly off-kilter, oddball, or disjointed. For instance, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni would fall into this category. So would Baccano (smile for Elmer!). And slice-of-life shows fit well into the ‘disjointed’ category as well. But otherwise, my taste for anime varies with the tides and the seasons. Comedy, tragedy, drama, ecchi, shounen and shoujo…they’re all good! (Well, not all of them, but I’ll tell you which ones are.) To start off, I’ll be blogging about Toradora, since Tekky asked me nicely, and even included a cherry on top.
So once again, nice to meet you all, and I hope you enjoy the ride!
Hi! I’m Menma. I’ll be writing about shoujo manga and anime, with which I have a most complicated relationship. If I went into much detail about that, I wouldn’t have a lot to write about, so I’ll leave it at that. Some favorite series of mine are Juuni Kokuki, Azumanga Daioh, Hikaru no Go, Death Note, Cowboy Bebop, Emma, Airmaster, Jungle wa Itsumo Hale Nochi Guu, Hunter x Hunter, and Princess Tutu. I’m a linguistics major at UCLA, and my hobbies include music, sci-fi and fantasy, go, making terrible photoshops, cooking, and rolling you up into a star.
